-Residential Services-

 

In home support:

Currently residential services are provided and paid for through the Section 21 Waiver. In home services are provided to assist a consumer to stay in their own home or home of a family member without the need to transition in to a group home or a shared living home. These services can be provided on both a short and long term basis. Home supports are provided in home are not designed to take the place of community supports or day programming.

 

 

24 Hour Group Home Support:

MVRA is currently providing 24 hour support under section 21 Waiver to consumers that qualify and need such services. Services are provided in a small group home setting of two to three consumers and is designed to support consumers to live within their community in the least restrictive manner possible. MVRA will ensure clients in our residential care are provided with a safe, clean and positive environment in which to live. We will provide support in completing ADL's, budgeting, shopping, paying billing and other activities needed to live independently.

Eligibility Criteria:

A. Client has a funding source in place, i.e Maine Care Section 21 funding or other sources

B. Must be age 18 or older

C. Must have a developmental disability relating to Mental Retardation or Autistic Disorder

D. Be appropriate for the services Maine Vocational And Rehabilitation is offering
