-Community Supports-
Ages 29 and over: MVRA provides a variety of therapeutic activities that include community inclusion, life skills, art, music, theater, health education, money management, environmental awareness, physical fitness. Community Support services are designed to address medically necessary goals that are chosen by the consumer or the consumer's team. These goals will be updated every three to four months in order to monitor progress on goals and to add, delete or keep goals the same. The majority of the services are provided in the community and within a small group setting. However some activities can be provided within our office settings or in one to one services when necessary. Services are based on a one staff to three consumer ratio, however management has the ability to increase staff levels for a consumer if it is deemed necessary for a consumer to remain in services. Day program activities will be scheduled the one week in advance and the schedule will only be changed in the event that the scheduled activity cannot be completed due to weather or other extenuating services. Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable learning experience that will increase the level of independence to our consumers and increase their involvement and integration within the community in which they live. We promote peer interactions and community inclusion . All staff providing this service must become DSP certified within one year of hire.
